Each One Teach One Ambassador Program
All participants of A Made Up Mind agree to participate weekly in case management services, family and individual counseling, self-help & life skills training programs ranging from 6 months to 24 months; all with the goal of graduating from the program with the skills and support to become self sufficient citizens of North Carolina. Participants will have six months or more of intensive training, counseling and mentorship followed by six months of planning and implementing a social change initiative project utilizing lessons learned from their courses and training. This training will afford participants the skills necessary to market themselves in the work place, community, and in all aspects of their lives. The curriculum are evidence based teachings and will lead these participants to be more self-sufficient and thriving individuals in the communities in which we live. Families will learn coping strategies and how to depend on each other and help out during tragedy. They will be taught how to operate and communicate as a thriving family, which will in turn strengthen our communities one family at a time.
Each One Teach One
Through our Ambassador program, the participants of A Made Up Mind will agree to mentor other women coming into the program for a minimum of 6 months as a Success Coach through our “Each One Tech One” program, where they will continue to model the lessons and behaviors that they have learned for the new participants and in return will have access to services from AMUM. These continued services hopefully will lead to creating self-sufficient women who can then live on their own successfully within the community and live out our mission.
